  • Our Mission:  

    The mission of the Sweet Water Volunteer Fire Department is to protect the lives and property in our community from loss due to fire, medical emergencies and other disasters through public education and awareness as well as fire suppression and rescue services.  Caring about those we serve, we strive to provide the most efficient and highest quality services possible.  

  • About the Department:

    The Sweet Water Volunteer Fire Department provides fire services to the city of Sweet Water, a small town located in central Alabama of 17 square miles with a current population approximately 240.

    The Sweet Water Fire Department is staffed by twenty-three line personnel and our chief, Ronnie Bishop.

    The department currently operates a pumper, a tanker and one brush unit.

    Our main fire station is located at 351 Main Street.
